As soon as the term Channelling appears it seems to get a mixed reaction. Either you are for or against it. The term is mixed up with all manner or ideas, spiritual names, ascended masters, extra-terrestials and other realms of sci-fi monsters and masters.

While Ihave no doubt that all of these exist in the moment of imagining them they still only exists within consciousness as it is defined. The definition I want to make here is “anything that anyone can be cognisant of; something that one has knowledge of or can define as existing; something that has a definition with boundaries; a mental idea, or construct, that can be named.”

doorway_to_consciousnessConsciousness itself as an idea exists within Consciousness as it actually is. Thus it meets the Universal Law of Paradox. So what is Consciousness? For many of the great thinkers there has been the idea of a Collective Unconscious or Universal Mind; so is this the Consciousness I am talking about? What is the difference between this and All That Is? All That Is by paradox contains All That Is Not as well. The measureless void contains All Potential as yet unformed. This is the realms of the Known, Unknown and Unknowable.

The visionary thinker Jean Houston noted, “Freud, in his last work said, “if we are a part of unity, then we can have access to all the solutions, at some level,” and that’s what we are learning to do in our time, hopefully. And what the whole channelling phenomenon is about is people having separate and collective breakthroughs in ways of releasing what Huxley called the “cerebral reducing valve”. There’s a movement of attention from conscious states to depth states in which an enormous amount of information is stored. I’m willing to say that the psyche is much larger than we think it is and is engaged at many levels with an ecology of consciousness that is broader than its own local base.”

He maintains that from inside of consciousness materialised, or as he calls us, embodied beings are seen as the heroes of the unfolding. This is because it is through embodiment that the nature of creation and experience are explored and evaluated. He maintains that evolution occurs through the choices made by the collective species.

From this perspective then, channelling occurs when a person approaches the boundary of the unknown and ask a question pertinent to that boundary. For example, new thought or solution arises when a person is contemplating the problem without reference to themselves. That is, they have forgotten who they are, and in fact have placed their identity aside. Most channels will relate the process of stepping aside, putting themselves in a back room, or some other metaphor.

singularityOnce you can conceive of the three realms of Known, Unknown and Unknowable beyond the mental constructions in becomes apparent that nobody can have any idea about what an Unknowable realm might contain, nor what its purpose might be, nor whether it has a limit or not, all thinking about it is abstract. What then is the Unknown? This a bit more tidy because the mind can abstract about what it doesn’t know. What happens when I die? I don’t know. I might believe in this or that, but it is beyond my comprehension. What is the smallest particle? I don’t know, because it doesn’t stay a particle but might be some form of energy, but even that doesn’t meet all the requirements.

So while we don’t know such answers, we certainly have ideas. These may be strong, filled with reasoning, visions, words and books to support the beliefs but still it remains beyond. Sometimes the ideasof one person and another are in conflict, so does that mean one is right and the other wrong. Or, as Mercredan would have it, both are absolutely right. Each has a reality in which the consequences of it being that way are acted out. Do beliefs create solid reality in which our purpose is what Mercredan calls the three E’s of living; Exploration or Experimentation; Education; and Entertainment. He humourously says that Entertainment is the most important one of these.

The one thing that seems abundantly clear is that access to consciousness is available to anyone who is willing to set themselves aside. This seems to be harder to achieve than it sounds. To be a bit clearer here, anything that has a name, a distinction arises in the mental field, however refined it might be. People often take the name of a reverence being, an archeangel, a ascended Master, Jesus, which gives some sort of credibility. Mercredan says his name is simply an address, a position on the boundary of consciousness that is in alignment with his voice, Francis.

Mercredan simply means Master of Mercy. Whether he is associated with other namesakes he has never revealed.
